Tinola in Tagalog or Visayan, or la uya in Ilocano is a soup-based dish served as an appetizer or main entrée in the Philippines. Tinolang tahong is a soup made with plump mussels steamed in ginger root, spinach, malunggay and Onion.

Ingredients:

1 kilo Tahong / Plump Mussels (cleaned)
2 bundles Chili Leaves
2 bundles Moringa Leaves
80 grams Ginger (julienne)
6 cloves Garlic (minced)
2 medium White Onion
8 cups Water
Salt
Pepper
Oil
